Dutch Oven Cook-off
4th Annual Living History Dutch Oven Team Cook-off!
Each year gets more intense as teams from around the state join the exciting challenge: make dinner for the first night of the Living History Re-enactors Conference. We give you a budget, you make the food, judges determine who wins. It's that simple!
If you want to join a team, contact one of these four living history or heritage organizations:
- American West Heritage Center
- This Is The Place Heritage Park
- Utah Civil War Association
- Utah Pioneer Heritage Arts
RULES
- Each team will prepare a meal and a side dish of their choosing that will feed _____ people (number of people to be determined, but probably about 150).
- The conference committee will reimburse up to $______ (amount to be determined, based on the people coming, but probably from $75 - $100).
- Each team will provide all of their own ingredients, fuel, tools and dutch ovens. The committee admonishes each team to bring, use, mark and keep track of their own dutch ovens.
- The food will need to be ready by 6pm, set up can begin as early as 1pm.
Again, bring and use and keep track of your own dutch ovens!
